Great.
Yesterday was fantastic... lol. It started out completely normal (except for the fact that a friend of mine called at 6:30 to see if we could get together) so we hung out for a while which was lots of fun until just about 11. Then lets see... played basketball... took a nap... got up... cleaned up the kitchen... then I took out the trash... that's right, I took out the trash... THEN, I took two steps out the door and swung the trash bag behind me, something scraped my leg... I looked down thinking it probably wasn't that big of a deal. HOWEVER, all I could see was this gash in my leg with blood gushing out. Pain immediately surged through my leg. I called out for mom, she came running out. My little brother Gabriel stood lookign on confused but not worried. Mom held the cut called out for Jarred, but he didn't hear. Mom grabbed a clean blue sheet from the gazebo where it had been hanging it up to dry. I held it over the bleeding cut. Jarred came out, mom got some butterfuly stitches. THis time Jarred got to hold the cut shut and mom butterfly stitched it . And I shall let all know that I did not once cry. Then mom said I should call dad... I did, told him then made the decision that we should probably go to the ER... so off mom and I went (along with little brother Gabriel). Oh, and I give extra Biblical Masculinity points to Jarred for helping carry me out to the car.
Mom and I got there, I wanted crutches to get in the hospital, but mom got me a wheel chair... it was cool after I stopped feeling like some old person. I went to the same ER room as I did last time to get my stitches in my finger... and stitches it was for my leg... dang. So, I got five shots to numb it (I hate needles with a vengence) then five stitches to stitch it up. The doctor bandaged it up, then sent me home with some of my leg still numb.
So, anyhow, I'm still alive... but I figured that was interesting so I posted about it. Talk to yall later
Peace Out

anyway, i'm proud of you dell for not crying. :) we're alot alike in some ways, eh?
only i've never had stitches. i was supposed to once but didn't. and everyone was wrong cause it's not even very scarred anymore.

Yeah... I've had stitches two other times... I should have gotten them on my knee one time but didn't and I've had my head glued up... I am not very happy and if I get any more stitches I'm not going to be impressed ;).
A piece of advice... if you go into the ER with a bad cut... ask if they'll glue it instead of stitchs... then you don't have to get 'numbed'... I hate needles.

What did you do to possibly need stitches??

I blended my hand. and I needed stitches.
I also dislike needle.s. but they aren't that bad.

out.

twas just a joke dams. I don't think "he" will find this blog.

Ouch. i hope you get better soon!

Five shots... wow! I think thats about how many I'd need if I wanted to be really numb for a filling... I have some kind of crazy tollerence to the stuff, so that it hardly does anything for me.

Delian said...

the shots were not very nice.

I'm so glad you are alive! What would I have done without you?!
*sniff*

5 shots?! Double OUCHY!

Delian said...

hahaha... you probably would still be living even if I wasn't ;). But I would have been Home first! ;).

*sigh* yes, five shots... it hurt like crazy... but as everyone probably knows saying that again would probably be complaining on my part ;).

When I had my wisdom teeth taken out they had to give me several vials of anesthetic before I went out. they emptied the first vial.....and nothing happened. I sat there as awake as could be.....they stuck another vial in......nothing happened.....by this point they were looking at me strangely........third vial...... I felt a weird twitch by my eye, and then completely blacked out.....and I slept for a couple more hours than I was supposed to.

♂out.

Delian said...

I hope that doesn't happen to me... i will probably have to get my wisdom teeth pulled out... oh the thought gives me shivers.

sorry.

how the hey did you blend your hand?! i can see mixing it...i've come very close to doing that...(always unplug the mixer before licking beaters and such)
but blending??? sounds interesting...

dell, when you get your wisdom teeth removed stock up on good long movies. like band of brothers and pride and prejudice and other stuff.
i'd say i'll come over and keep your mind off your mouth...but that's a little impractable. :(

I use it mostly to keep in contact with people I don't get to see a whole lot... but nobody has been on for a while and I just decided to ask if anyone had it ;).

Hey I know that you have been off the subject of anisthesia (how in the world do you spell that??) but I couldn't help relating a story. Several monthes ago my little sister, Misha (she is 5) had to have a filling put in. Well, they must have given her to much of this speacial drink that makes you sleep because she had a really hard time comeing back to her sences. She kept on crying and just falling off the sofa back home. When we put in a Tom and Jerry movie she started saying "hey there a 2 mouses!"....She must have had double vision...lol.
Misha declared after the fact that she never wanted to go to that "tooth dentist" again.
